Thank you for everyone who did so much in 2011 to secure this beautiful home for the cats. We look forward to helping hundreds more cats in 2012 and into the future thanks to you all for stepping up in our hour of need.

We wish all our friends, helpers, supporters and donors the very best of health, wealth and happiness in 2012!

Although the land conveyancing and full legal switch over is still in progress we have now raised, thanks to many kind supporters, over the £70,000 we needed to save our home.

We have been astounded at the generosity of those around us and also by the hours of work our volunteers have put into raising the money.

The Diss Express has run a huge local appeal for us and have covered our story throughout the journey and their support has been amazing.

Our Save Feline Care facebook page has helped us to keep everyone up to date on a daily basis (this site is not so quick and easy to update!) and been a great place to share ideas.

We have had donations from all over the country and even from as far away as Canada, thanks to magazines The Lady and Your Cat for also picking up our plea for help.

There have been nearly 600 individual donations to our appeal and each donor has been thanked personally on our Facebook page.

Thank you, on behalf of all our cats and those we will now be able to help in the future, you SAVED FELINE CARE.

Enormous thanks and a lifetime of purrs go to everyone who helped save Feline Care.

All those who donated over £100 are listed below although we know only too well it took donations of all sizes to get us to such a huge target.

Several local companies now have permanent collection points for us where staff can donate items on our wishlist. The support we have had has been tremendous and we hope more businesses will consider setting up collections.
We can offer tailored posters to suit your collection so please let us know if you think your workplace could support us!

Unless Feline Care can raise £70,000 to buy itself and become a registered charity in our own right - WE WILL BE CLOSING DOWN AT THE END OF SEPTEMBER.

The Cat & Rabbit Rescue Centre, based in West Sussex, currently own Feline Care and all our feline residents will be moved to their premises should we fail in our rescue bid. We need your help.

Initially a deal had been struck to save the sanctuary but the current trustees would not allow it and we are now on a knife's edge. We must make Feline Care safe.

We know £70,000 is a huge goal for such a small sanctuary. If we didn't already run on a shoe string and drag the most out of every single penny then we could opt for a loan. Repayments, alongside other costs which will increase, are simply unaffordable as we are already working our fingers to the bone to pay for the care of our 140+ residents. Raising the money is our only option.

    Please, please help.

    Please donate online:

Please send cheques payable to Feline Care to:
Feline Care,  Roudham Rd, East Harling NR16 2QN.

Please download and return a standing order form:

If you can't afford to donate then could you organise a fundraiser for us?

You can join our "Save Feline Care" Facebook group to share ideas and find inspiration:

Download our poster and plaster them everywhere you can think of!

However you can help, we need you more than ever.

UPDATE: You have saved Feline Care! Thanks to so many kind souls who have rescued our cats - we are all in shock!

Donations are still coming in and our current total is just over £72,000 but please check out our facebook page (see bottom of page) for an up-to-date total.

The Diss Express is running a local appeal for us and our story has been covered by most of the local papers as well as Your Cat magazine who feature us in their current issue!

We've had our breath taken away by how many people have stepped up to help and we're more certain than ever that we can do this! Our Facebook page now has well over 500 'likers' and word is spreading far and wide of our plight, with one donation coming all the way from Canada.

Please keep spreading the word between your friends and family. We need a lot of people's help to make sure Feline Care survives for future generations of abandoned, ill treated and unwanted moggies.

    PLEDGES TO DATE:
Donations and pledges of over £100 and given directly for the rescue of Feline Care:

If you have any ideas or want to lend your skills/time to our appeal then please try and come along to our next fund-raising meeting this Wednesday (31st August) at the East Harling Sports & Social Club from 7.30pm.

We have lots of events already planned and plenty still to arrange including the finer details of our Autumn Open Day on Sunday September 25th - which we hope will be our biggest yet!

We are currently being swamped with calls and email as well as trying to work our way through the mountain of administration involved in setting up Feline Care as a registered charity in her own right. Our volunteers are all putting in double time to help care for our cats and fund-raise but we really need all the help we can get.

We've now cleared the halfway line - let's keep it going - hope to see you there!

Huge thanks to the team at Armitage Pet Care for donating us a load of litter trays! www.armitages.co.uk

Quite a load it was too, over 1,500 trays plus plenty of feed bowls, so we also enlisted the help of Stewards Waste Management who lent a huge van for us to collect the load. We recently neutered a colony of cats with them and they're as potty about cats as we are.

Paul, Terry and Molly headed off at 6.30am to the other side of Nottingham in blazing sunshine and returned home late afternoon....

Thanks to everyone who pitched in to get it all unloaded and then the excess lugged up into the loft over the next few days: Emma, Linda, Chris, Erica & Loren (sorry if I've missed anyone out!)
